Modern telephone technology is amazing! VoIP and Cloud Based Phone systems are a thing and their capabilities are just way more than we could have ever imagined. Access your business phone from your cellphone, plug a phone into your router and work from home, set up another office or team member across town or across the country with true plug and play simplicity or connect satellite offices easily and quickly.
No more closets full of telephone systems, equipment racks and wires running everywhere; the new technologies are awesome, feature rich and cost effective.
And, ALL VoIP phone systems, with very few exceptions, are capable of playing your On-Hold Message to your callers even if all VoIP providers are not willing.
Unfortunately, some vendors will tell you that their systems cannot provide for your On-Hold Messages because frankly, they don’t want to put in the effort to upload your recordings to your system. Believe it or not, there are those out there that just want to take your money and not provide services other than what they can automate.
Loading your message only takes moments, but some vendors won’t take a moment to provide you the services you deserve, or they want to charge you for it. BEFORE you sign on the dotted line ask questions. Questions like “Can I have an On-Hold Message and can it be changed when needed even if that’s monthly or weekly?” “Can I have my IVR, Auto-Attendant prompts and Voice Mail Messages professionally recorded and uploaded to the system?” “Will you charge me to upload audio files to my phone system?”
If the answer is anything but a resounding YES, we can do it with no additional charges then think twice about getting your phone system from that vendor because the systems WILL do it. it’s the vendor that may not want to provide the service for you.
